Entry Details for the 40th Annual Sandstone Trail Races

Races |
Two one-way races under FRA rules, both finishing in Delamere Forest. Age 18 and over. |

Race A |
Starts at Duckington (GR 117/494526) 27.5km (17.1 miles) 655m climb START 10:00 a.m. |

Race B |
Starts at Beeston Castle (GR 117/540591) 17.0km (10.6 miles) 288m climb START 11:00 a.m. Leading runners in each race will be expected to finish 11:45 to 12:00 |

Mandatory Equipment |
There is no mandatory equipment requirement. This is an exception to the normal FRA rules. |

Transport |
For competitors who wish to book a seat, buses (£5.00) from the finish to the starts will be laid on before the race. Depart Delamere Barnes Bridge Car Park (GR 542716) 08:30, arrive Duckington ('A' start) approx. 09:15, arrive Beeston ('B' start) approx. 10:00. Transport is not provided at the end of the race. |

Route |
This is not an orienteering event. Both races follow the "Yellow Footprint" way-markers of the Sandstone Trail. The route will be marshalled where obscure and at road crossings but ultimate responsibility for finding the route rests with the competitors. A pre-survey is recommended. Timing |
Competitors will receive their race number and e-card for timing at Race Registration at Duckington or Beeston. The e-card will be used for taking split-times and the Finish time; it will also be used for a timed-out crossing of the A51. Full details on the Timing page. |

Prizes |
No runner will be awarded more than one individual prize (apart from 1st Orienteer). Trophies will be presented to the following:

T-shirts can be pre-ordered and pre-paid at £5.50 and collected at the race Finish. |
