DEE Membership Application Details
By joining Deeside Orienteering Club (DEE) you're entitled to receive the bi-monthly Club Newsletter called Deeside News and the North West Orienteering Association (NWOA) Newsletter and Fixtures List.
Most DEE members are also members of British Orienteering. The benefits of British Orienteering membership are fully explained on their website. However, if you expect to enter mainly evening and small local events and to receive the Deeside information as above, you may join as a club-only member. It is possible to upgrade to British Orienteering membership at any time.
Please note that you are agreeing to the Club's Constitution by applying for DEE membership.
There are four types of DEE membership:
- Junior: Individual aged 20 or under at the end of the calendar year.

- Family: Husband & wife & any children under 25 at end of the calendar year.

Any family members at the same address who do not wish to join British Orienteering with their family group but would like to be included in the club membership should send their details to Barbara Majumdar at the address/email address below.
You join as a British Orienteering member by joining British Orienteering and specifying DEE as your Club. You can join online, by phone, or you can print a form and post it with a cheque to British Orienteering; in each case, you start at the British Orienteering Membership Page. Please specify your Club as 'DEE' and your Association as 'NWOA'.
In order to obtain the best value under the new (2013) British Orienteering membership scheme, British Orienteering ask that new members delay joining until 1 November 2012, by which time the new scheme will be available.
If you wish to join as a club-only member, please print off and complete the club-only application form and send it to Barbara Majumdar, The Knoll, 41 Meols Drive, Hoylake, Wirral, Merseyside, CH47 4AF; remember to enclose a cheque or Postal Order payable to 'DEESIDE ORIENTEERING CLUB'.
If you would like to discuss membership of DEE, you are welcome to ring Barbara on 0151 632 4027.
Notes
- Membership information is kept on computer for administrative purposes. If you have any worries or objections, please contact Barbara Majumdar (membership@deeside-orienteering-club.org.uk).
- Names, addresses, phone numbers, and Orienteering age groups of members are published in the Club's Address List (only distributed to Members of the Club). This is to enable Organisers of events to find helpers for events, and for Club Officers to put together teams for relay events, Compass Sport Cup etc.
