Hope everybody enjoyed Rhys’s excellent planning. Thanks are due to the Findlay-Robinsons for fitting it all in around work commitments and their imminent departure on holiday, and to Mike Smithard for printing the maps. Thanks also to the Westminster Estate although they don’t know it due to the obscure permissions arrangement whereby we can use the area for a registered event providing we don’t ask them to formally sanction it! However the area seems to be a recreation zone for all sorts of activities and nobody seems bothered by what anyone else does. For instance, the gentleman launching his model aircraft across the start area had no problem with our presence.
The formula seems to work well, the numbers are about right so I guess we can hope to put a similar event on next year.
